Redefining Luxury In Mobile
Vertu Brand Identity
Vertu was the world’s first luxury mobile phone company. The craftmanship that went into the devices could be compared to that of a Rolex watch.
As part of the work around core identity, and to explain and articulate the design story, I created the sliding brand wheel to work across three product propositions, enabling all marketing and design material to be traced to the brand core.
To introduce the Vertu Motorsport edition, the first phone using materials similar to those in motorsport, Vertu sponsored a Porsche in the Supercup to raise awareness of the brand to the target audience.
Supporting materials included a campaign, website, special edition packaging, a trunk that was taken around the pit lanes at the events to show the craftmanship in the phone, and a retail stand, all bearing the resemblance of the tyre mark.
